Rexroth Pressure Compensator ZDC 6 Description

Rexroth valves ZDC are direct operated supply pressure compensators in 2-way version.

As with all throttle cross-sections, the flow of proportional throttle valves and directional valves depends on the pressure differential Δp.

The effect of a load-compensated, electrical flow control valve results from the combination of throttle valve (measuring throttle) and pressure compensator which keeps the pressure differential Δp at the measurement throttle constant. The pressure differential is determined by the pressure compensator spring and depending on the selected design, it ranges between 8 and 25 bar.

The combination of a proportional directional valve with a pressure compensator ZDC and Rexroth SCA results in the effect of a flow control valve for 2 directions. The changing load pressure is to be scanned via a shuttle valve. If pulling loads result during deceleration of mass, counterholding valves are to be provided.

Rexroth Pressure Compensator ZDC 10 Description

Rexroth valve ZDC are direct operated supply pressure compensators in 2- or 3-way version.

The are used for the load compensation as supply pressure compensator in channel P.

ZDC valves basically consist of the housing (1), the control spool (2), compression spring (3) with spring plate (4) and the cover (5) with installed shuttle valve (6).

The compression spring (3) holds the control spool (2) in the opened position from P2 to P1 if the pressure differential P1 → A1 or P1 → B1 is smaller than 10 bar.

If the pressure differential exceeds 10 bar, the control spool (2) is moved to the left until the pressure differential is restored again.

In connection with the supply pressure compensator, the pilot-operated proportional directional valve is to be used with “external pilot oil supply“!

With external pilot oil supply, the connection to channel P is blocked. The pilot oil is sampled from a separate control circuit.

With internal pilot oil supply, the connection to channel P is open. The pilot oil is sampled upstream the throttle side of the pressure compensator (port X in the subplate is blocked).
